G'day lovely people..   Grin

I just found out Kmart in Perth are having a yarn sale (until the 27th June) and everything is 25% - 50% off!!

I'm trying really hard not to think about it though, because I really need to reduce my yarn stash.  But it's so difficult.

Anybody have the same problem??   Undecided

Yeah, sometimes it is a real problem and sometimes I prove poor at resisting.  So I feel for ya.

Maybe if you complete a few UFOs before allowing yourself to buy yarn it could help?  If you really cannot resist, maybe you could try to decide what yarn you want and what you will use it for before you go?  I try to set a budget before I got to a sale, but I suck at making it work.

Hmmm, I wonder if the sale is in Perth only?

I'm pretty sure it's on here in Newcastle too.  However, I am much better at not buying until I'm ready to make, and not starting something if I'm already working on one (ie, I only have one scarf going at a time but I might also have a hat and a toy in progress).  I still want to make it all though!

So much to make, so little time!

OK, so I snuck a peek at the catalouge on their website and it appears that the sale applies country wide.  Almost country wide.  The fine print under the yarn bit says that it is not available in Darwin.  So I take that to mean it is avaiable everywhere else.

I think I'll see if there is anything that will be good for dyeing.  I like to have a few spare balls in cream around in case I get the urge.  It is good for hats that will be gifted.  I hope they still stock Cleckheaton Country Silk.

Ohh, I wish I hadn't read this! I've already bought 8 balls of yarn this week because I couldn't resist the temptation! Maybe I will go see if there is anything outstanding and decide from there if it's worthwhile or not. Undecided

Oh it's great to know I'm not alone...

I have decided to be strong and not go and check out what they have, and I know I will feel better about it after the sale is over (she says as she grinds her teeth).

I guess I have a big enough stash for now.  Undecided

I am so bloody good! I never go to kmart. My significant other insisted on going there on thursday to buy a cheapy backpack, and I did not even *look* at the yarn section! (I may have purchased and consumed an entire 100g block of chocolate instead, mooching about outside the petshop, but that is so not the point).
I'm holding off for a bendigo order, once I have the crochet skillz to convince myself that I will actually make a whole blanket.

Lupinbunny - LOL!  I thought I saw somebody stuffing their face with chocolate outside the pet store on Thursday...  just kidding!!   Tongue

To be honest I have only bought yarn at Kmart only once or twice.  There are just too many yummier (but probably not the 'yummiest') places like spotlight and lincraft.  The fact that Kmart was having a sale got me all excited but eventually the temptation wore off.

I had a look at the Bendigo site the other day and I was pleasantly surprised - very nice yarn and at very reasonable prices.
