I belong to a club of machine embroiders that meet at the local sewing store once a month and do a project..

I wanted to share last week's project - it was fun to do..

It was a bobbin work design - this one is a flower of course - but she said you can do this with just about any outline line design - just not filled..
In the bobbin we used floss instead of thread - and the stabilizer went on the top of the hoop and your fabric was upside down to face the machine.

We then broke out the sewing machines and did some quick quilted rambling and whatnot - and made make up bags.  This has to be the best zipper I have ever done - I learned a lot in class - one thing to learn from pics here online but another is to see it in person - huuuge boost to my zipper setting skills!

This was such a fun project I had to share it with other machine embroiders out there!  I can't wait to make another one! The kids are going to have the best pencil cases for school this year!!

okay.. it would help if I put the pic in too...

That is beautiful.  Is it done on an embroidery machine, or a regular sewing machine?
