this is fabric that i first crackle dyed and then stamped/painted on.  i like doing different designs in the same palette so the fabric all coordinates for use.

i don't have a full blown tutorial yet, but there are directions for the basics of how to proceed & also a link to my crackle dye tutorial on my blog along with more pictures.  http://joycevance.typepad.com/joyce_makes_art/2007/06/fabric_painting.html

please let me know if you have any suggestions on the directions as i would like to do a good tutorial on this for people new to stamping on fabric.

it really is amazing.  you can also overdye preprinted fabrics and then stamp on them, or foil them to accent them.  i just don't seem to ever get tired of doing this.
