Hey guys I'm new to amigurumi and I think if I could just make the Magic Adjustable Ring I can finally make some! But the thing is I can't figure it out for the life of me! I found a few tutorials but they don't help me. Plus one I found has you doing a dc when most of the patterns I find call for a sc. I tried it with a sc but it wouldn't work. Can anyone help me! It would be MUCH appreciated!

PS- I used this: http://www.crochetme.com/amigurumi-double-ring

Here you go, pal. I had a tough time getting started with it too. So I whipped this up for you.

Step 1 - Bring the cut end to the front of your first two fingers.

Step 2 - Take the cut end and wrap it behind and around your first two fingers twice leaving a tail

Step 3 - Push your needle through the loops on your fingers (needle going from fingertips toward hand) and pull the innermost loop through the other two

Step 4 - Finish of a single crochet using the loop you just pulled through.

Step 5 - Continue through the big loop (that your fingers were through) making single crochet stitches (# according to your pattern)

Step 6 - This is 6 sc on a magic loop.

Step 7 - Untangle the long tail at the bottom. And kinda place it in front of the other loops so it's the closest thing to you.

Step 8 - Pull the loop closest to you tight. It may take some love, but if it's too tough, you've got the wrong loopy.

Step 9 - Pull the long tail tight till you have something that looks like this. Note Tobias Funke in the background. He thinks you're doing a good job, too.

Hope that helps, chicky!

Oh, and then you work the sc into the outer edge of the wheel-looking thing you just made. Just go through both loops and voila! Get ready to cry from cute overload!

I think a lip balm cozy would be the perfect first project!  Wink
