So my friends and I are super theater dorks and threw a Tony Award's Party.  Everyone had to dress up as a character from theater, and I chose Tracy Turnblad from Hairspray.  I found this cyan blue shift dress at my community thrift store, and it hurt me a little to mess up a de la Renta...but I bedazzled and 60's-fied til my fingers hurt.

The final result?

(my friend is Moritz from Spring Awakening...which swept the Tony's)

A better pic of the front

And of course, the hair and make-up!!

Sorry for the picture whoring and large size!

When I read that you had reconned an Oscar de las Renta dress, I almost fainted. But to be fair, you got it from a thrift store and it looks good now. Anyways, I love Hairspray. It's awesome. You look so cute in the whole costume. I actually think yours is the best.
