First I am not sure if this goes here or in clothing?
sewn fabric cuffs. It's worn like jewelry but made more like clothing?
hmmm so I'll try it here, if this is wrong a mod can move it.

I decided to try making some cuffs. I have all these small pieces of cool fabrics left over and never throw them away, but didn't know what I could use them for. Cuffs! The perfect solution, and I have some metal studs, bits of ribbons , single buttons, all kinds of things to use up.

so I made these over the weekend, most of them  are using 3 different vinyls or some fake fur:

the lining on this is a black and white bat print

the lining on this is black and silver pinstripes

lining is purple leopard print corduroy

lining is zebra print cotton

anyway now I think that I really love making cuffs and using up scraps, and they are more comfortable than metal bracelets because they are flexible.

Those are TOO COOL.

I especially love the star one.

I've been wanting to make some.  Did you machine sew them? Do they have stiffener?

Make more! Smiley

Neat. I need to make my own cuffs! I see some in stores and they're just so expensive.

Check my etsy site for GLOW-in-the-Dark Nightmare Snatcher journals and miniature Worry-Woolie notebooks:

Likewise please check Weirdling Works the Etsy shop for my collaborative work with my father, in illustration and writing:

yes they are machine sewed, but some of my vinyl gave me lots of trouble! It's sticky or something and left a gummy residue on the needle which prevents the stitches from locking (the top and bobbin thread don't lock). So I had to keep changing needles and cleaning them with alcohol and stuff.
I didn't use any stiffener because my base fabric was either vinyl or heavy denim (the last one).

There is another one not pictured  I'm just going to throw away because the vinyl was peeling off and just making a mess, it was some thin pleather which looked like a thin coat of latex on a knit backing?
