So, I have this friend who really wants a strawberry hat. Like this:

The thing is, I can't find a pattern that isn't for tiny children. If you happen to know a pattern, or have any ideas where I could find one, I will give you lots of spiritual points and a gold star.

i found this on KPC in the hats directory

http://thegoldenfleece.com/free_patterns/strawberry_hat.htm it seems like it's for big kids b/c it uses a 16" circular needle

Just take a basic rolled brim pattern and graph out the top stem. The seeds are sewn on afterwards so you can put them wherever. Have fun with it!

My favorite fruit hat pattern is by Ann Norling...worth the few bucks!  I've used mine more times than I can count, and it came with color photographs.

Fatter yarn + Bigger needles = Bigger hat

Make a gauge swatch and you can use the pattern you have.
