I made this for my brother, he is moving out this summer.

Acrylics on canvas, outlined in sharpie, glue gloss. Colors are not completely true.
Sometime during our childhood when Zach was in distress, for some reason, he cried out "HELP HELP! PINK LEMONADE!" as if pink lemonade would come to is assistance. But it was rythmic. more like "helphelp, pink le'monade!" if that makes.. any sense. Anyway, this exclamation is still common between the two of us.
The other grad present I am making him is a secret hollow book, does anyone have any ideas for books I should use, if I come across them? I'm mostly going to be cruising garage sales til I find a good one.

Here go some photos:

My rescued betta, Wayne, swimming happily about in his very own 10 Gallons of water. The water has peat moss to encourage plant growth, thus the yellowness.

The "cave" in my 15 Gallon community tank, which is now rimmed with some very pretty beard algae Cheesy

My bunny Benner. This is from his first time out of the hutch.

The ::way too overstocked:: 10 Gallon tank in my mom's daycare. It plays home to three comets and a snail. It is so overstocked that I have to vac the gravel once a week and change 50% of the water per week just to keep everyone from dying Sad

I know this is blurry, but I really like it. Benner & Newman eating their salads. Newman is the grey. They are my true loves.

Benner & Newman munching on timothy hay.

Help help pink lemonade almost makes sense to me Shocked

I think it is so great that you were able to create some art for your brother using an expression that is meaningful to both of you (more than likely, ONLY to both of you).  I think he will be thrilled to receive it!

For the book I just try to find a good size ( a size that will accommodate whatever is going to be tucked inside)  hard cover that has no oder and the binding is good and covers are still solidly attached- garage sales and Goodwill or Salvation Army usually produce useable books to alter.
