My older brother just called my attention to some pictures of Bjork he saw on the apple.com site (he likes apples and he likes Bjork...he's a pretty cool brother!)...
These are the pics from the apple site...

OH my goodness. Bjork is so damn cool. Just lookit all the pictures...they speak for themselves!!

So I went on a google adventure armed with the words 'Bjork' and 'crochet'. Wow...I'll let you see...one of these is apparently her latest album cover or a promo image(I'm not entirely sure this is true...but you can see some more crochet anyway)

So apparently google tells me that Bjork did not crochet these herself but a group called the "Icelandic Love Corporation" made all these costumes. Aren't they awesome?? Here is their website http://ilc.is/ILC/index.html I am still looking through the site...they have some more crochet stuff and other crazy costume, performance and installation art works. I think they live in freeform crochet costumes. Smiley I was just so excited by the awesome freeform crochet I just had to share!

What do you all think? Go forth and make crazy crochet...let your creative juices flow and release your inhibitions!

...Bjork is so cool. The world would be boring without her and artists like the Icelandic Love Corporation.  Cheesy

Oh wow, that is wicked!

Love it. Love the fact that crochet is being used so funkily, and with flair and skill.

This just might make me defect totally from knitting (am a decent knitter, but a novice crocheter- for now).

Love Bjork as well, can't wait to hear her new album in full.
I solemnly swear that I am up to no good..

Amazing! I love the one in the natural colours - not really because of the colours but it really flatters Bjork. The multi-coloured ones swamp her a little. (Although I love the colours!)  Wink  The natural outfit looks really wearable!

Awesome!  I had actually seen a picture of her in the natural one in Entertainment Weekly.  I tore it out because I was going to show it too at some point--just never got around to it.  I like the colorful ones too.

Bjork is crazy and beautiful, and I'm not surprised to see her wearing these awesome creations. After all, she wrote,
"While you are away
My heart comes undone
Slowly unravels
In a ball of yarn
The devil collects it
With a grin
Our love
In a ball of yarn"
- from her song "unravel"

Love the picture with the sky and water ebhind her. Bjork is cool. She hasn't made an album yet that I didn't love.

Check my etsy site for GLOW-in-the-Dark Nightmare Snatcher journals and miniature Worry-Woolie notebooks:

Likewise please check Weirdling Works the Etsy shop for my collaborative work with my father, in illustration and writing:

I bought VENUSzine a few months ago and she's on the cover and there are lots of pictures of her costumes inside. What a treat.  Then I bought the album not even realizing what a treat I would find inside.  There are the brighter colored costumes in the album and she's flaming.  My boyfriend just smiled when I got the magazine home and to squealed "She's covered in crochet! I could make that!"
