Hey everyone,

I have a friend who just spent 6 months living in California. He was constantly at the beach and loved how his hair felt after he got out of the ocean. Unfortunately, the only bodies of water here in the glorious Colorado are the nasty reservoirs.

I'm a hairstylist, so he asked me if I know of any shampoos that were made for such a purpose, apparently he's heard of them but doesn't know the name.

I've never heard of any, but I was wondering if you guys had ideas for something I could mix into shampoo, or even start from scratch to get that same effect.

He's not big on having to actually us product, so it would have to be in a shampoo or something. Ideas?

Many thanks!

Yeah, I even told him about a product that is a spray similar to that, but made for hair.

The deal is that he's extremely low maintenance and isn't interested in having o do anything with his hair beyond shampooing it.

Dumb boy.

Lush has a salt shampoo product called Big, since it's handmade with natural ingredients it may be possible to create a recipe for something like it at home.

Whenever we go to the beach, we just bring home a gallon or two of ocean water... and then just rinse with that. I'd imagine that you could find the ratio of salt to water somewhere and either make a spray or just dilute the shampoo with it.
