Hi folks

Just realised WWKIPday is up, and we've nearly missed it! Too late for official sign-up, but who'd be keen to meet at 11 in King George Square next Saturday?? Cross posting in the Brisbane SnB thread

Okay, this is the last straw. This is the last month I'm working Saturdays. Too much fun goes on for everyone else.  Angry

Ooooh!  King George Square, I'm up for that.  How far along is the construction down there, does anyone know?

I go past there every day on my way to work and the construction work is still pretty heavy.  I don't know how much it will get in the way of any plans.

I was just curious really.  There is still plenty of room about the water wise garden (I think that is what they call it these days).  I wish I'd thought far enough ahead to have some sort of Craftster or Brisbane S'n'B tee organised.

Ok, so I drove through the city the other night, and I hadn't realised about the construction thing. It'a a bit full on. Where's the Waterwise garden Vik? Otherwise shall we switch it to South Bank???

In fact, I'll do that now and post it on the calendar. We'll meet at the entrance to South Bank, at the edge of QPAC where there's a fountain, or if it's raining the piazza

poor snakeface. one day we will knit together!

OK, the water sense garden (toldja I wasn't sure aboot the name) is at the opposite side of the square to city hall.  It used to be a big shallow pool of water with sculptures in it (ex-expo I think), now it has been filled in with rocks, bark chips and drought resistant plants (and a good coating of ibis poop last I looked).  Anyhow, it really isn't cool, but yeah there is a fair bit of space behind and about it.  I was just being optimistic, and I maybe went overboard, you caught me.   Grin  Southbank is a waay better option.  I bet we can get a mod to delete the extra date thingy, except I am not so sure that this board even has a mod.  I suspect we don't have one, otherwise that quaker tapestry posting person might not have stuck around so long.

Ooooh! I might actually be able to come to this, provided my car isn't being a poo-head.
