Okay, Cheytown.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for the wonderful tutorial.  Here is the link for anyone who hasn't gotten to see it yet:
https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=170402.0

I made this dress for my daughter today.  Hooray for having the day off!  This started as a dress shirt donated (well actually saved just barely) from the man of the house.  Poor thing.  He didn't realize I could recon it.

I pretty much made mine like the tutorial.  I did box pleats, instead of knife, added some elastic to the back for extra fitting, and did a panda applique on the front.  Okay so down to business...

Front of dress:

Back of dress:

Close up of box pleats and the applique:

And of course, the infamous action shot:

Hope that you enjoyed it.  I am really proud of this, because I did it while she was away at school.  Which meant, no measuring.  Just guessing, and it fits her well, with growing room.

Please let me know what you think.  Thank you.

It's so cute! You took the tutorial, but made the dress yours...and your sweet baboo's.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments.  She does love it.  Whoo!   Undecided  I worked kinda hard on this one, so I'm glad it is a winner.  I'm sure that all of you that have gotten to experience the joys of a 2 year old know that they either want something everyday, or they just throw it over their shoulder and keep running.

It case you are all wandering why her hair always looks a mess, it's because she runs so much so fast, she got the windblown look.   Wink

Thanks Cheytown!  You are our button shirt mastermind, so that means a lot.  Thanks again for that rockstar of a tutorial!   Grin
