You guys are so fast!  Grin I found a book for my partner but I want to read it before I send it, so my package won't be out for a while.

Hoorray! This morning I found the second book I was looking for! I'm at work on bookmarks and little surprise!

Does anyone have some unique ideas for a little surprise? I could go with the standard tea idea but thought it might be fun to do something different but keep it book related? HMMM?

well, once it's out here in the open it isn't going to be much of a surprise Tongue but there are plenty of other book related things you could send like a decorated book light or a book cushion (a cushion with one hard flat side so you rest the soft part on your lap and have a hard surface on the other). Going with the tea theme you could send a tea cozy (oh, with irony, of course Smiley)

Ooh, also a book clutch (which is a hard cover clutch in the dimensions of a standard trade paperback, typically or in a mass-market paperback size, less typically) so you can toss your book into your "everything" bag without having to worry about damage to the cover.

I could go on. But I won't. These ideas are meant to be surprises after all. Cheesy

Ooh, that would be useful!  It could be kind of fun if you used an actual old bookcover (say, Crime and Punishment, or a chem/physics/calc book cover).  Then when you're giggling over Terry Pratchett, you get some REALLY odd reactions. Grin

I like that book clutch idea, I am forever leaving chocolate and meltable items in my purse.  Roll Eyes

Ooh. I think I have one of two. I picked it up at the library sell-off for nice and cheap just before the swap started... I just have to finish reading it first Wink
