Knit N' Style is not a magazine I have ever purchased before, but I happened to glance through the patterns in the new Fall/Winter issue and think the Milano sweater is one of the most unique patterns I have seen in a while. Heres a link to a pic for those who havent seen it. http://www.knitnstyle.com/images/oct07/3.jpg My boyfriend loved it as much as me and is going to order the yarn for it next week. In the meantime I was wondering if anyone out there would like to KAL with me?

Ohhh man there is someone out there! I knit the back portion of the sweater in some super cheap-o acrylic, just to see if I could handle the cables. Even in the yarn I chose it turned out great and not difficult to follow.  My boyfriend has yet to purchase the yarn, so I'm on somewhat of a hiatus myself.

My blanket project is on hiatus until the gal buys more yarn, and the scarf I accidentally left at a friends apartment (still not finished)... the yarn sales are calling to me...  I'm debating using a classic woll yarn en lieu of the ultra alpaca

My man will only rarely wear long sleeves, so a sweater of any kind is out of the question. This is a really interesting pattern, though. I'll be watching your progress.

I would love to make this for my husband.

But I think I need to finish up a few projects first. I will eventually join you!

Well my bf finally bought the yarn for the sweater. Michaels was having a sale on Patons Classic Merino so he got 12 skeins of the stuff. Its going to be black and blue. I have a hat to finish up and then I will cast on Smiley There is also a Falls Cables group on Ravelry I joined in people are interested.

Comically its Michaels sale that is pushing me towards diving into this project too.   He rarely wears sweaters but has begged and pleaded shamelessly to own the first sweater I make.... he is also 6'3" and wears an XXL....  I think I'm in for a long long project.

Mine will probably be blue and grey or if I can talk him into it, a neutral green...

I do love making cables though so this ought to be fun
