These are awesome!  I'd never seen the plastic rocks, either... just glass or, uh, rocks.  I will be on the look-out for these, now!  Thanks for posting the gorgeous pics and the how-to!

TimelessBarbara, you can find these at walmart in the fish aisle, also petsmart & petco carry them.

hmm i didn't really count..i just arranged them in a rectangle in about the size of a cuff. it would be good to measure around your wrist first, though.

if anyone is interested, i saw some rocks in spotlight. they were in the home decor section, sold in plastic tubs. they have some pretty colours Cheesy but cost about quadruple the price.

Cathimajig, I found them by chance at a cheap store - what you would call a dollar store I guess, in the US.
I'm not sure where else you would be able to find them. They might be used by florists, in fish tanks, home decor, etc?

Such a cute project ... does the "cooking" smell? I wondered if it smells like burning rubber.
