I love sharpies. And you are my favorite sharpie artist.
Are they all just black ink or do you do color also?

jayne!

I love the birth-related ones. They are rather fabulous, IMHO. But, I'm on the same kick here, I love reproductive work. I think it's beautiful *probably has something to do with my own not working - stupid psychiatry!

How large are these? Do you do colour?

Do you sell any of your work?  If not, you totally need an etsy shop.  I think it's all amazing!

Apparently it's just me, but it really looks to me like you're riffing off of mandelbrot art.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandelbrot_set

Which I think totally rocks.  I love math art.

This is a really cool little applet to play with Mandelbrot sets:

thanks .. I think im really into reproductive drawings due to my EXTREEM fear of it  Smiley

Thats really what the "Twins" represents to me .. the figure on the left of the drawing .. is supposed to represent a giant scary sperm ..with huge teeth ... ( as you can tell i get a lot of inspiration form old medical text books...) the line drawings are so cool and detailed in them and they can translate into my abstract pictures very easily ...

as for size most of them are 11 by 14 .. althought a few are 8 by 12..

and I have a cool " stages of fetal development " drawing that shows from egg to baby .. and it extends across 2 , 14 by 11 sheets of paper ( i wish there was a way to post it ) but its so big ( maby I can take a photo of it and see how that comes out ... I also have ( MY fave ) which has a veriety of theems to it .. wich extends over 8 sheets of paper that fit together sort of like a puzzel .... it is matted and framed on my wall ....

As for colour .. Ive tried a few .. but I tend to be more drawn to  black and white ..positive/ negative ... and for me they tend to come out better ... ill scan one that includes some color ... and let you judge for you self if youd like ...

thanks again .. to everyone for the totally nice comments  Smiley

Have a great day
Jayne
