I made TWO of these trying to get one to look right. The first one I used knit picks main line cotton, and when I wear it, it feels like i'm wearing really lacy armour. The second I used some mystery yarn, did it much quicker and without as many mistakes, but i hate the sleeves so much I never even bothered to weave the ends in. I want the one in the book! (But I think you may have to be THAT EXACT GIRL to get away with wearing this pattern well.) Yours looks great by the way, you obviously tamed the hard lace pattern. I feel your woes about how it looks on though.

I think it looks great!  The yarn will relax after a while and it won't look so lopsided as you put it.

I like it!

I made mine out of one of those Lion Brand pounds of yarn--ick. The lace got all bunchy and didn't lay right at all. Yours looks much, much better than mine (plus the sizing on mine was completely off and turned out way too small, and yours is nice and drapey).
