I"m such a happy camper today - it was apparently package day in my home... i'm sure the mailman hates me, but too bad!!

Gatsbygirl claimed me for some quilt squares - and for those of you who remember, her mother challenged her on the whole piecework/paper piecing thing..... so Gatsbygirl practiced on me.... and sent me the 5 most AMAZING squares yet!! (and i'm closing in on 1/2 the number I need for my quilt!) - and if that wasn't enough, she also sent me 2 rolls of the fabric strip that I had on my list, which are not only exactly what I was talking about, they're a great color (and destined to become a fabric bowl)

ok, so after I got done there, i also have another package today from kyou - she chose me for some kool aid dyed yarn (no muss, no fuss, just dig in and knit with the awesome colors)

the one on the left reminds me of corals.... and the one on the right just feels so springy/summer, it'll be a pleasure to make pretty things with it (after i get done simply admiring it all for a while)

Brill, Andrea, thank you both so much - this was a great fun homecoming today!

I received from xladyluckx a couple of days ago and, as always, she spoiled me rotten:

Example No. 1 -- I had mentioned that I want to do a swatch wall, so she sent me a whole bunch of wooden embroidery hoops, a swatch to get me started, plus plenty of fabric to make an Amy Butler bag I've had my eye with some extra to spare:

Example No. 2 -- I've recently discovered paper piecing and quilting and my preferred fabric for it is neckties. I can't get enough of them. Here's more for my stash:

Example No. 3 -- I love vintage craft kits. Even the kitschy ones. I'm now the proud owner of a sequined ornament kit (which will look amazing on my aluminum Christmas tree) and a granny dishwashing liquid bottle cover, complete with pink gingham and white fake fur for her hair:

Example No. 4 -- Chocolate peanut butter fudge that didn't last enough to make it to the photo shoot.

Could a girl ask for anything more?

I received from ZaftigMomma today. She picked me for pj/yoga pants and just look at these beauties!

My favourite colour with the best shisha mirror detail on the leg and contrasting lettuce edging at the bottom which gives them a cute frilly hem. And they are the right length!!!! Any other petite girls out there will understand just how great it is to get a pair of trousers that you don't have to take up  Grin These are going to get alot of wear  Wink
Thanks Karan - I love them!
