Ok craftsters... I know I don't post nearly often enough (i'm a professional lurker) but I NEED HELP!!! I'm gonna have eye surgery on May16th and I"m gonna need to wear eye patches for about 6 weeks!! Yeah it sucks but I was thinking if I made them cute maybe it wouldn't... or if I made them myself! Do you guys have any ideas on HOW I would go about making one? Please please help me!!

My suggestion would be to take a regular eye patch and cover it with some pretty fabric or paper. Should be easy enough.  Smiley

If you can't convince them, confuse them.

I saw some eye patches at Walmart... I think it would work to lay fabric over the top and zigzag around the edges or use it as a pattern with some timtex to stiffen it up.

maybe you could send a personal message to the person who had the eyepatches and they could send a photo

This would be silly and quite heavy, but you could get a doll's eye and make a lid and such out of polymer clay, bake the whole thing up and glue it on the patch... to creep people out. :-D Glue some fake lashes in there too, you could leave holes when you make the eyelids.

LOL that would be hilarious and has def possibilities... I don't know what I'm going to do... I don't like the over all shape of the ones you can get in the stores they're too big for my little itty bitty face... Looks like I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and spend a couple hours playing with interfacing and stuff... now to find hours
