this is a kitty bed i made from this tutorial:
http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=70758

....it was pretty fast and easy to make, and my cats LOVE the beds!
i made two, the first i made the 24" bed (which is really big enough for 2 cats) and then i made the smaller one (which fits "just right")....

here's my cat Gary enjoying the first bed i made:

I love this bed because it has much lower sides than the beds I have traditionally seen, but still has a lip for kitty to snuggle into.  Some of my cats don't like "deep" beds, but one of them really likes to find little crevices to curl into...he's old and it keeps him warm.

Really nice job!   Smiley

Oh, how cute! I have two year-old Bengals who love to be pampered... but we've bought them new bed recently but they still prefer to sleep in the ratty, clawed up one we had for them when they were kittens! I think something like this might be a perfect replacement. Thanks for sharing!

it's wierd how all 3 of our cats, just knew the beds were for them....i didn't have to coax them to use the beds or anything! ...they claimed them as their own right off the bat! Smiley

Yep, he looks pretty happy (is it a boy? Your cat looks like it has a more masculine face, but then again, one of my boys looks incredibly feminine, so I guess you never know...).

I don't think I'll have problems getting them to sleep in a bed like that. If it's soft and fluffy, then it's theirs and nobody else's. But then again, they probably think everything in this apartment is theirs.

yep...he's a boy
his face might look a little wierd cuz he has cancer and has a lot of tumors around his eyes (don't be sad tho...he's a really happy cat!)....i still need to make one more bed for our third kitty....maybe i'll do that today...

my cats would much rather just take over a folded yard of fabric... especially if they think I am going to make something out of it. Smiley
