My mom made this as a wedding present for my cousin and his wife. She wanted a bright quilt with primary colors, and that's definitely what she got! The pattern is Birds in the Air. It's quilted in red thread, so you can see how pretty the quilting is on the ivory backing. Enjoy!

i'm assuming you used a free motion foot?? how much did the foot cost, if you know?

that's amazing.  did she hand quilt or machine this?  Either way, it's friggin awesome.  I don't have the patience to do that by hand, and my machine is crap.

My mom and I both take our quilts to woman who quilts them for us. She has one of those huge quilting machines (it takes up her whole dining room!), so she can really create beautiful quilt patterns. We just don't have the space (or the patience) to quilt our own quilts; it's difficult enough to squeeze us both into the sewing room at the time! Smiley
