H'okay, so.

I have eleven cigar boxes  (some wood, some cardboard):

And a pretty big mint collection (Altoids, Tic Tacs, mints from various countries and the like):

I want to use the cigar boxes to display the mints, but I'm not exactly sure how.  Hang the boxes on the wall and kind of use them as shadow boxes?  They don't open all the way, but I guess I could remove the hinges.  Somehow hang them off of something?  This is the first time I've done something like that, and I'm kind of clueless, so any hints or tips you could provide would be appreciated.

I love my mint collection, but I don't want it to just be in boxes on top of my  bookcases anymore.  HELP!

One thing I can think of is maybe hanging the cigar boxes like floating shelves (maybe putting L-brackets on the wall?) and arranging the mint tins on top.

As for the shadowbox idea, I'm not quite sure how, but if you could hang the cigar boxes at an angle (or maybe just prop them against the wall at an angle), then you wouldn't have to worry about removing the hinges. You can always use something like a decorative chop stick or something to keep the lid propped open.

Hope some of that helps.  Undecided
