So-I'm feeling entirely stumped...spring is a long time coming in the pacific NW this year!  Two ideas and we'll see which way the interest goes
1.  we make quilt blocks with a theme (like a color) and then swap the blocks.
2.  we swap fabric with a theme and then all make the same blocks.

I've never organized a swap before, so a co leader would be a big help too.

That sounds like fun! I like the idea of making blocks with a theme

I like the color theme!  fun!!  How many squares would we be making?  Could we have as many partners as we were willing to make squares for?

Maybe each person could pick a color ("blues" or "purples" or "jewel tones" or something like that) and the number of partners they want.  Then each participant could make the same block in each person's colors for all of their partners.  That way, when you were done, you'd have a number of blocks that would work together for the same quilt.

I'm glad for feedback.  Maybe we could start this in May?  See if there is more interest.  It sounds like the theme fabric has the votes at the minute.
I think the number of squares we make would depend on the number of people interested.

I would be sooo into this but am a newbie and can't swap until May 11.  I would loveeee it if sign ups were not till then so I could participate.  And any rules would be fine w/ me.  Of course if you guys want/need to get it going before then I understand and will wait for the next one.  Yeah quilt swap!

If you are working on (or thinking about starting) a postage stamp quilt with 1.5" squares, I have scraps and squares to give away.  PM me if you're interested.
