As a science teacher, I'm conflicted about these envelopes...

You are recycling, which is awesome!! But you had to cut apart a cool looking old book with awesome animal pics to do it!

To solve this dilemma for me, I think that you should send all of the envelopes to me, and then I will feel much better about the whole project  Wink

But, seriously, these are fabulous envelopes. I have a set of "Kreate-a-lope" templates (tear and fold) and I've only used them a couple of times. After seeing your envelopes, however, I may have to start using them again!

I love recycling books/magazines for envelopes too.  For any one who wants a shortcut, here's a template for "standard" cards (that means it's for an 8.5" x 11" paper folded in fourths).  Now if I just had more people to send them to... Smiley

I don't think we've got a spot for mail art yet. Maybe someday soon. Cheesy

It was so hard to take a knife to that first book years ago, but I don't regret it for a second.

There WAS a spot for mail art.  Like, a mail art swap board, but it was used so little it got... retired?  I think things just get put in paper crafts now?

So I don't suppose it could ever be "unretired? Sad

If demand was great enough I suppose it could...

That would be impossible since they don't live with her anymore! ::evil laughter::

It was only a mail art swap board, where people could post for atc or postcard swaps, not a board for posting finished projects. It was merged with the regular swap board because it really wasn't getting enough attention. If you and everyone else are interested in a mail art board, the best thing to do is to post here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=106.0. If it gets enough support, Leah may consider making a separate board.
