I saved this picture on my computer awhile back, but now I have no idea where it's from! I normally save picture with their info, but the filename I gave it makes no sense to me.

I would really appreciate it if anyone can tell me where it can be found. I think have the perfect yarn for it now, and absolutely MUST make it!

I took a gander at your filename.  I assume the numbers are the date you saved it, maybe?  Or possibly an indication of the season and year the pattern was published?  Winter 05?  And SOL, could that be short for a yarn type or possibly the pattern name?  I'd start there.

That's what I was thinking... but for some reason, I am thinking it's a Phildar pattern (no real reason to believe that except that it's an "instinct"), and I've tried looking for their books, but I couldn't find them by date (stupid Phildar!), so I don't know. I tried looking for their Winter 05 publications, but it's so hard to find info about past knitting mags that includes pictures of the patterns inside, especially Phildar who seems to label their issues by volume instead of season/year. I went through the previews on the Phildar website and it's not in any of them. I am really hoping someone will have this pattern and speak up. I'm doing lots of googling, but having no luck thus far!

Thinking about it, that may not even be MY filename... I may not have bothered to change it when I saved the pic. Very uncharacteristic of me, but stranger things have happened...

So I'm not entirely computer-savvy...but here are a couple of things that you could try if you haven't already.  (Maybe...?)

1) Do a google search for the file name -- it might show up if you didn't change it when you saved it.

2) Do a google image search for Phildar+jacket+pattern or Phildar+sweater+pattern...you might get a billion hits but you could get lucky.

It's an adorable pattern -- hopefully you find it so that you can share!  Wink

if it's phildar, wouldn't their dates be european, making it july 12, not december 7?

just a thought-- i hope you find it!

not another knitting blog.  no, seriously, it's just a blog.  that never gets updated.

Are you sure it's not from Fitted Knits??? Just a guess!

Thanks for the suggestions.

spaghetti, I did search for the file name (as well as pages upon pages of different keywords I could think of!), but didn't think to try the google image search. I'll do that, thank you for the suggestion.

smrjunior, thank you for pointing that out... I never even thought of that! But it is a possibility. I'll do more searching using july 2005 as a starting point.

curlyredheadgirl, I am almost positive it's not from Fitted Knits... I don't have the book but flipped through it and do not remember seeing that particular pattern. Plus, my computer says I saved this file Dec 14, 2005, which is quite awhile before Fitted Knits was released... but Fitted Knits does have some similar things, thanks! I do intend to buy that book eventually.
