Hi I am from Christchurch so not too far away. I haven't been in here for a few days as I was doing up my daughters room while she was on camp. I still have some furniture to give some new life to and then I will make some cushions for her to use. Not enough hours in the day is there.

Hello Jinxy , we get down to CHCH a lot , lots of friends there , boy isn't this a big site , just so much to look at , after you have had a good look around you will have even less hours in the day as you will find so much you wish to try , what sort of cushions will you make for your DD ?? I made letters for my DGD's room last year using foam rubber I got from the recliceling place

Hi nzer
I will make her some in pink and green and use up old braid/lace etc from my godmothers stash from the 50's and 60's and I will recycle tired fancy work and put it all together in French country style. She was so excited last night when she came home it makes the dry sandpaper fingers all worth it. The Foam letters sound great! Her Great Auntie in Western Australia is going to knit her name into a cushion in pink on white using the ostrich yarn. They look really great too.

Hi nzer
You must think I am rude banging on about what I am doing and not asking what you are into at the moment. I am interested - just vacant sometimes LOL so do tell......

Not at all , honest, I love to hear what every one is up to , some times I get a bit behind and when you read others post or see there pic's you soon get back on track , I have 2 grown DD and 2 DGD [ 1,7 years and  1, 8 months ]who I sew things for , this last week I have finished 2 a funky skirts for DD2 and a black silk jacket for me and a pair a grey trousers ,next I'm working on a fall skirt using colours that we see this time of the year , but as I'm away for a week it will be a bit before I get on to it ,
This skirt is worn on the hips and is made in bungee , the panels are a] cream silk Dupont

b] a charcoal silk that has a gold silk thread embroidered leaves over the charcoal silk
then heam on the cream has a charcoal velvet zig zag ribbon sewn over it , down the side of the cream are 5 gold buttons and all the top stitching is cream silk thread

sorry I don't under stand the "go the Chiefs"

lol - the chiefs are the waikato rugby team!  I'm not really into rugby but we were headed off to a rugby game and so I was getting into the spirit a little.
(in truth I don't really watch the game - I watch the cheerleaders and mock them - mean, I know!!)

I love crafting - well its kind of obvious from my user name isn't it lol,  but lately I have been making a few bags - I made one for my Mum for mothers day - I'm not sure she really liked it though - lol, I liked it - I was quite proud of it!

I like your skirts - especially the wraparound one - looks awesome!  Smiley
