That sounds gorgeous Sweetttart3.  It's making me hungry.

I had a blast making desert sushi for April FOols Day.

I've got a detailed show-n-tell here.

ANd a how-to guide here.

I used rice crispee treats for the rice that was rolled in melted white chocolate.  Alot of my top bits on the nigiri were marshmallows.  For nori I tinted melted dark chocolate with green food coloring and ripped the "rice" cut out shapes in it.

It was a total blast- thanks for reminding me of this fun set of sushi bits!

i don't know if you would consider this dessert sushi.  but at a sushi joint by where i live they have this amazing shrimp and mango roll.  basically it's shrimp tempura in a roll mixed with mangos.  it's pretty damn tasty.  i think they also have some sort of dessert banana roll.  but i have yet to get around to trying it.  i usually eat too much of the wonderful sushi and never have room for dessert.

i also recently saw a genious idea for dessert sushi at the twinkie contest at the local fair.  someone took twinkies and cut them into slices and used that as sushi.  they also used fruit roll-ups i think to wrap the twinkies.  i think they also used candied fruit or something and placed bits of that in the middle of the creme filling.
