if you have already swapped your particular zine with someone else who signed up for the swap you have two options:

a) pm that person and check with them to see if it's okay if you don't swap with them (since you've already recieved their zine and then have already recieved yours)

b) make a new zine. if a lot of people are interested in creating a new zine and need more time to do so, i would be willing to push back the send out date. just let me know.

personal swaps please!

This is going to be so exciting!  I've been working on 3 zine designs over the past month.  Now this is going to make me complete them! yay!

I only bought my first zine last week.  I love it.

just search for zine through google.  there are thousands.  the ones i like are croc and colouring outside the lines (http://www.myspace.com/colouringoutsidethelines).  A basic rundown is a collection of creativeness usually photocopied together and bound.  It can included photos, drawings, sketchings, poems, stories, articles, and contributions from other people.  Usually a zine is 'themed' and either black and white or colour.  Some people hand colour their zines, others leave them as just copies.  When making a zine you should do it for the creative thought and don't aim to earn any profit from it.  It should be about sharing yourself with others.  Believe me the copying costs will eat into your profits!  Most zines are traded or sold around the $5 mark.  You can have anything from 4 pages to a book.  It's completely up to you.  You can also have a zine that isn't a standard book shape.  That is what makes things interesting.
