Are there any good local newsstand/ magazine shops around other than Powells? I'm specifically looking for crochet mags and this gorgeous textiles magazine I just found called Selvedge.

All I can think of off the top of my head is Powell's, or one of the random LYSes.

There's a shop at SW Alder and Park that has a pretty good selection. It's a cigar store/magazine stand.

I just found Knittin Kittin yesterday, it's a thrift craft store and has tons of books/magazines, lots of them vintage. You never know what they are gonna have, but they have a big selection. It's on ne glisan, about 78th.

Yeah, Knittin' Kittens pretty rad! I love that you never know what they're going to have.

How about Reading Frenzy next to Powells? Also, there's Joann's on 82nd.

Oh, Rich's is pretty good too. That's the cigar place. They have one on NW23rd.
