soo I tried the faux hawk earlier today..for some reason it didn't want to stick up. but I got side tracked playing Kingdom Hearts and didn't give myself enough time to really do it..but oh well. I'll try again another time.

Love all of the styles. I am going to post a couple pics of some more updos sometime this week. After seeing the french twist tutorial, I was kind of hit with inspiration. We should start another thread that is just for hairstyle tutorials, that way people can post how to's about their different styles-how to cut it, how to dye it, how to style updos, how to do a faux hawk, etc....
I think I might if I can get the time to create some updo tutorials.

That sounds like a great idea!  I'll have to take some more pictures of my updos. Smiley

I meant to go blond, then it was really red because I dyed it red not too long before bleaching it (God forbid I use a color stripper first Tongue) and I didn't feel like fixing it so here we go!

It's faded to a kind of turquoisey color with hints of purple and teal and green. I really love it Smiley

A little hairdresser input: You really don't need to use a color stripper. The crap you get at Sallys kind of sucks unless you're trying to take out a demi-permanent color. Bleaching is the best way to go.

Well mine isn't all the pretty colors I have seen here but, it's kinda faux hawky!! I am always taking a razor to it and I have pheasant strips in my hair:

well my faux hawk ended up GREAT! but the hair color not so much.
when it came time to wash the dye out my roots where a brassy blonde and my ends hadn't changed a bit. soo I had to dye it back to the darker coolor but put more of a reddish tint to it. it turned out pretty good, it's more of a dark auburn now and in the sun it looks like I have highlights. now if only my avatar would show the picture I uploaded and you all could see what my hair looks like since I'm not supposed to post my picture here since I didn't cut or color this myself  Undecided

here's a link to my photobucket page in case any of you are interested in looking at it
