Digsy LaRaspberry: How about platinum instead of blue? That would not be boring.  Grin

I think the reason it's mostly colors is because, due to craftster rules, people can only post haircuts and dyes they've done themselves... and not many people cut their own hair. But hopefully, since I know there are some people here that do, they can help you out!

Yah, I was thinking of going at it with my hub's electric razor, but wanted to ask if someone had some hints or suggestions so I don't end up looking like a man... well, as much as any woman can avoid that with short hair!!

I shaved my head.

I would say start with the longest setting do it all and see if you can do anything with it. If not, go a bit shorter. I just went full on army cut. It was shorter than short. But it's grown out a little bit.

i'm super scared of shaving my head too. i think i may just like go for it. hehehe. my parents still don't know i want to. but hey my dad is an ex military guy so he can't say he's never done it. lol. i think i may go for more of a pixie tho. how do you dress up short hair? other than like scarves and headbands. i'm a hater of scarves sorry.

I just recently changed my hair from this. . .

To this. . . I cut it myself and although you can't tell in this picture it is short at the back and long at front Smiley I lover it.

Here are some of my short hairstyles I did myself:

Chelsea, red tips on bangs and streaks

Growing chelsea out, brown

Long, wispy bangs with razored back, varying lengths, brown

Super short spiky back with long bangs, pink highlights

Long bangs, razored back, hot pink

Long bangs in pink with purple tips, razored back in black

I honestly think one of the best ways to avoid the "he looka like a man" syndrome with short hair is all about texture. Long bangs really help if your hair is thin, and razoring the layers really adds a little oomph. Let us know what you decide to do to yourself (with pictures!)

i think i may just end up going with a chelsea style mohawk. its fun in a punk way. and its girly too. no need to me mistaken for a man. my dad is on board but mis madre es muy sceptical. lol. she hates most un-natural things. don't get me started on the bleaching fiasco. hehehe. fer sure i will do.

I think she said it had grown out a bit... I would love to do something like that but my head is like a cone.LOL

thats not shaved. its a buzz cut. if you want to say you have a shaved head you should actually shave your head with shaving cream and a razor.

i've had this hair style for almost four months now! That's a feat. I'm loving the length - about 10cm past my shoulders - ((its only just recovered from a bleaching fiasco about 2 years ago)) and i still love the blue, and I still love the shaved part, but yeh, I dunno. i want to change it, but I don't know if i do or not? When I get like this I usually get out scissors, bleach + dye and see what happens. It's never gotten too bad before...

Front, you can see the blue in my fringe

Side, this is the shaved part. it's on the same side of my head as the blue, ie left.

p.s. in my house, head shaving is contagious....

Halloween 2004, brown with red.

October 2007ish, purpleish ontop with pink underneath. I totally loved this but my dark hair grows so quick it was a pain in the butt to keep!

My hair as it is now, short and a little bit mental(natural kinks, damn you!)
