ok, My mom is the luckiest person on earth! She went to a yardsale last week and bought a box of patterns. The lady said that if she took the whole box it would only be five dollars... And there were 63 different patterns!! OMG! So, my mom, like the smart person she is, grabbed it and ran. lol.  Anyways, most of the patterns were already cut to 16-18, so too small for her, just right for me. She gave me first dibs on what I wanted and I made these skirts off of one of the newer simplicity patterns.  Feedback is welcome, These are the first skirts I have ever made.... ignore my big belly and stretch marks, lol, my son is almost 2 and i still need to lose the baby weight...

This is a close up of the fabric on the last one. I LOVE this fabric. I bought it at a second hand shop for 1.75 and there was almost 3 yards.
I have been hanging onto it for months, afraid to cut it. I am really glad I waited, Its my fave of the 3.  The first one was how the pattern actually came out, but I thought it was a bit to long. The last 2 still need to be hemmed and the elastic put in the waist. Soooo, what do you think?

I LOVE that last one. I have a BCBG skirt that looks identical to it, except its more of a green/yellow/grey color scheme.

Your mom made out like a bandit!
