Very late in posting on the wonderful package I received from ambraqi. Meant to do it last weekend when I got it, but was preparing to be out of town and then...well was out of town.  But I'm back and I'm here to make you all jealous with the pretties she sent me.

A Jane Austen bookmark:

A regency-inspired necklace:

And the world's softest shawl:

I can't believe how intricate that lace is.  Thanks so much ambraqi...it was definitely worth the wait!!

I am de-stashing a *ridiculous* amount of stamping supplies (mostly Stampin' Up)...PM if you're interested in purchasing or swapping for them

Note to self: never let drunk guys near my knitting!
It turned out gorgeous, anyway, so thats good!   Grin

hey, pjmclnj thanks for putting up with my tardiness!  My mom has cancer right now, which we just found out about during the swap, which is the reason for the delay.  I'm so glad you liked your goodies!  I actually watched the movie version of mansfield park just since you said it was your favorite.  I can see why!  Also, thanks for all the great goodies you sent my way...I love everything!

I'll post a pic for you, since you posted yours for me Smiley
Here is everything I sent: a bag, with regency inspired print, an altered altoid tin with jane austen on it, some jewelry, and a tray with the cover of mansfield park on it, plus some strawberry candy and ribbon Smiley

Cool package - the tray was a good idea. Sorry to hear about your Mum,uradelight.

I am just back from my holidays in England. I spent part of my birthday in Bath. We visited the Jane Austen centre and had afternoon teas there Smiley There was a brief talk about Jane in Bath and her life and I nearly burst into tears when Jane's death was described Embarrassed We also walked around Bath, saw the other places Jane lived and saw where Anne Elliot and Frederick Wentworth were reunited. Sigh!

We didn't do everything we wanted to do in Bath because we were heading to Derbyshire - BUT we spent the day at Chatsworth (the supposed inspiration for Pemberley) and had dinner in the inn where Jane stayed and where she has Lizzie stay.

In the sculpture room in Chatsworth they have a marble head of Matthew McFaydean from the recent film Wink
