I had an idea for one of the Gen T shirts that was essentially backless and I will try to describe it. I made the scoop a bit less wide so bra straps would be covered, and before doing the random lace up thingie up the back like they describe, I put a contrasting but complementary colour of t fabric across the area where the bra strap goes, which looks cool, covers the boulder holder, and actually gives the shirt a bit more stability.

Most of the ideas in the book can be adjusted for us fluffy girls, I just had to think waaaaay outside the box on some of them.

The recons are all cool, but the first one - the colors are so pretty on you!

And that shrug...way cool idea. I think I'm going to do some St. Vinnie's shopping for a couple sweaters like that.

And I'm thinking that if I took some of that soft, wide elastic and just sewed that on the right side (with just a little tension on the elastic, not so much as that it puckers) to make the v-neck, then cut out the V part and turned the elastic to the inside - hand tack it in place - then there would be less gapping in the front (on me - I'm small on the top but make up for it in the butt! lol!)

Your smile is contagious! And so are your ideas!

I just got the "Generation T" book and love all the ideas but as I look thru it, I wonder Huh how will it look on me.  I want to cover up not cut away all the important areas.  I am not really an XL but I am not like " those girls" either.  Then, I just happen by your post and its like God has intervened. Smiley I have to try this!  Thanks for some inspiration when I needed it most.  I am digging through the closet tommorrow and going to the thrift store as soon as possible.  PLEASE post some more pics ASAP.  You are the bomb and a REAL inspiration.
