i have received hand-me-down form a white silky blouse that i'm not bananas over, but i think i can make it faboo by making the long sleeves short and then puffing them. going for a psuedo-victorian look. i'm thinking elastic would be easiest.

i have had crap luck with elastic in the past because i don't know the proper way do DO elastic! is it supposed to be very tight around my arm or the size of my arm? is it easer to sew a hem (or whatever you call it....i'm not very technical!) and thread the elastic through???

any help would be mucho appreciated!

Well, it all depends, as for tightness do you want the elastic to "hold" the sleeve on your arm, or do you just want the elastic to gather the sleeve? (For elastic in skirts/pj pants you make the elastic smaller than your waist so that it fits snugly, but not so tight it is uncomfortable.

You could make a casing to thread the elastic through or you could stitch the elastic stretched onto the sleeve of the shirt.

Goodbye Tucson! I will miss how everything dried so quickly!
