I just finished my heart scarf from the special knitty suprise - seriously this took 4 days which (for me anyway) is just insane for a scarf! cant beat instant gratification

Anyway I have to weave in my ends and block it, but as I used less wool than expected and still have 1 left I was wondering if I should add tassels? Ive even provided an "artists impression" of what this would look like LOL

This pictures pretty horrible (bright red againsh blue carpet YUCK!) but you get the idea?Ill post a nicer one when its completely done  Smiley

Well to tassel or not to tassel?

PS. I dont like my bind off Im just gonna re do it so ignore that

i think you should tassel, it adds the right finish- not overdone, but done.

I like it untassled . . . which is out of the norm for me. Something about the hearts says to go tassel-less.

Man, you zoomed through that!  It looks really good.

Hmm, tassel or untassel?  This is a tough choice, but I'm going to have to go with untasseled.  Or maybe really short fringe that doesn't distract from the hearts.

I'll have to vote for no tassels too.  I can't believe you finished it already!
If you like pompoms you could add a couple at each end, that could look kinda cute.  But even then I think I'd prefer it plain.

Ooh, this is on my to-do list! I'm not usually in to hearts, but I think it's just really pretty.

Can I ask what type of yarn and what size needles you used? I tested out the stitch pattern with some Lamb's Pride Bulky and size 15s, and it was a little too...limp for my tastes.

I'll vote for no tassels as well. I think the heart stitch pattern are embelishment enough.  Looks great!

Cool pattern.  I vote no tassels-- it looks great as-is!

My untasseled scarf is now blocking on the living room floor  Cheesy

I used Freedom by Twilleys of Stamford 100% wool, I think its just a chunky weight wool and I used 10mm needles (15), 3 balls exactly which was about 150m Smiley sorry I dont understand imperial measurments that well  Undecided

Ill post some nice pictures when its dryed

Thanks for all the feedback

Gee, my sense of style must be all out of whack...I liked the short fringe look myself.  Either way, it's a great piece.
