Here is my first attempt at a wallet that can also hold my spiral bound Day Timer calendar organizer. I made a slight miscalculation so it is a little too small for the card to go in the right way, and I had to trim the back cover of the planner.  Tongue It still works though. I have a better planned one in the works and will take pics of the process then. In all it only took about one fat quarter of fabric, some elastic, a zipper, interfacing, and binding.

Side one, showing the elastic closure.

Side two, showing the zipper pocket (for change and whatnot) and the elastic.

Inside view. There is also a small pocket under the planner that I forgot to take a photo of.

It's gorgeous! I love the fabric, and it looks so professional and funky at the same time. You've totally inspired me to make one for my 2005 planner.

I'm glad everyone likes it.  Grin

It is made out of cotton and craft-fuse type interfacing. My next one will be cotton as well.

WOW.   Shocked

That's brilliant!  I've got to try something like that sometime. What do use to reinforce it? Normal interfacing?

I've just bought some of that fabric from e-bay!  I can't wait to get it since I'm already making all kinds of plans for it.

Great organizer!

I used the stiff craft-fuse type interfacing. Since the organizer is in there it ensures that the wallet keeps its shape.

YAY for e-Bay! I love this fabric, I only found a fat quarter of it at a local Hancocks.  Cry

Since I already have seem to be a sewpixie groupie, I wanted to post my version of this. It was such a good idea! Mine is not as nice, but it'll work (hopefully)
