This is my third wish this round (none posted yet!)  and I'm in England.  Grin

My Wish list

Ethical & Allergies - I’m a vegetarian, so no animal products please (wool's okay, but leather, fur, suede or gelatine aren't!) I’m also allergic to nickel and artificial perfumes.
I would love a LOTR inspired Elven head-dress like the ones Arwen or Galadriel wear! (Okay, I can hope, can’t I?) Or any sort of Elven inspired jewellery?
(I’m allergic to Nickel though!)

I adore this lotus necklace

Knitted and Crocheted
My babies would love you forever if you made them a kitty pi!

Arigurumis – I would absolutely LOVE a Captain Jack Arigurumi!! https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=104545.0
*sigh* If I can’t get Johnny Depp into my bed, I’ll make do with Jack Sparrow!!

Or a dragon?

A fiber necklace like the ones from Enchanted earth! http://www.jade.enthuzed.net/11.htm
I love ‘Truffles’ and ‘Autumn Leaf’, actually, I love ‘em all!!

A pair of patchwork cushion cases in purple please.

A kimono hoodie – This one’s pretty cool!

A black wrap dress.

A long hippy skirt!

Some washable cloth pads, with maybe a travel purse with dirty/clean compartments please? (I gave up buying disposable pads and tampons last year and I’ve never looked back. My body feels so much healthier!)

Fabric hair bands – with elastic at the bottom

PJ or yoga pants

A hair towel with maybe an ocean-themed motif on it (I have long hair – halfway down my back!) My bathroom is green

I’d love a piece of Celtic artwork in purple for my living room wall. I don’t mind whether it’s a wall hanging or a picture!

A new swap journal – mine is about full!

A CD with vintage images on for crafting

Something for my garden? If it tinkles, twirls or makes a noise, that would be great! I live on top of a hill so there is always a breeze in my garden. It would need to stand up to the English weather though! Or some kind of artwork, or sculpture? I have a sort of enchanted garden theme going on – mushrooms, fairies, dragons, wind chimes, wind-dancers and sun catchers – that sort of thing  Cheesy

DIY Kits
Teach me something new, I love to learn new stuff!

Needle felting…I’ve tried wet felting, but never needle felting! I’d love to have a go! Thanks Velvet Rose

Resin casting…I’ve never tried it and would love to! I can’t get the stuff round here! I’d love to make some bottle-cap jewellery – thanks to the BF I have lots of bottle-caps!

Lino cutting or a stamp carving kit.

Sock knitting.

A book-binding kit.

I’m planning to make a Rapunzel scarf, so any gorgeous scraps of yarn, trimmings, ribbons or anything else I can put in would be appreciated! They must be at least 10 ft long please and preferably purple, pinks, turquoises or emerald tones! Glittery stuff is welcome too  Wink
(Thank you Velvet Rose and Gatheredthreads! I'll keep this up though cos I'll need some more  Wink )

An A4 sized deckle and frame for paper making!  Wink

Nickel-free or low-nickel coloured wire, preferable gauge 20 or higher (thicker stuff please) I can only get gold or silver-tone wire in my town!

Japanese craft books or magazines.

Something for my belly-dancing – I have a sort of gothic costume that I’m working on at the moment (black and silver) – how about helping me?  Grin Even a pattern would help....

Anything from/inspired by my wists http://www.wists.com/Samsara

About me

I’m a 38, I’m an art and pottery teacher, and I live in the UK with my BF, 2 cats and a german shepherd dog. I’m basically a hippy-gothy chick, my favourite colours are purple, black, turquoise and emerald green, although any strong colours are also cool especially rainbows (I don’t like pastels and I can’t wear yellows, or yellow based browns or oranges as they really don’t suit me!) Also I'm not keen on floral fabrics, unless they're oriental or hippy, or if they’re appliquéd onto something else – I’m really into appliqué at the moment! I love batiks, Indian fabrics and tie dyes. I enjoy yoga, gothic belly-dancing, reading and crafting, particularly new crafts! Favourite themes are cats, dragons, peacocks, nature, trees, stars, Ohms, lotus flowers, tribal style designs, anything Celtic, Art-Nouveau or Zetti, sci-fi and fantasy books and films.

I’ve included my Wists, but don’t feel obliged to produce exact copies, they’re more a general guideline of what I like or would like!
Here’s some extra information about me if you want! http://samsarasswapinfo.blogspot.com/

Thanks in advance for choosing me!!

a decorated watterbottle (doesn't need to be dishwasher safe)
somewhere to keep my jewelry

Fun stuff

any sort of little plush toy or arigurimi!
artwork I can put up
Toys for my kittens (NO catnip please)
colored duct tapes
different kinds of (silver-toned) jewelry wire
a glue gun!
maybe a crafting tool belt?

I LOVE rock and cars.  My fave band is Soundgarden along with Godsmack, Metallica, Korn...

Oh heck, I'll claim thragegarden.  Mostly because I live in Indiana too, and I'm nosy and want to see where it is she lives.

I'll send, uh, some stuff.  Probably something off her wists.  And I know where to get those knitting needles, so if they still have them, I'll send them, I think they might be discontuing them though. Sad

This my second claim!

I'm a 30-something woman who lives in Indiana.  I just bought a new house where I live with my new husband and our two doggies.

I'm allergic to cats (and dogs and lots of other things) but as long as the item is washable, it's ok if you have allergants around.

My favorite color is green, but I really like any of the bright primary and secondary colors, especially all together in rainbow like patterns.

My wishlist:

Anything with monkeys, rainbow brite, carebears, or "vintage" strawberry shortcake on it

Handspun Yarn (especially the funky novelty yarns, i'm just now learning to make those)

Non-Wool Roving, cotton, silk, any of the nifty new synthetics that are available now.  I've got a ton of wool and I'd love to play with other things and/or blending.

Recycled Sari Silk Waste for spinning

Buttons, maybe a baggie full, or a bell jar full at the most, or just a few is fine too.  I'd like to try spinning a yarn with buttons in it.

Any kind of other neat additions that I can add to my yarns to make fun novelty yarns

Kool Aid in funky flavors (colors) that you can't get easily in the US.

A needle felting starter kit (I have lots of roving, I just needles, instructions, etc)

A silk spinning starter kit

A cotton (cellulose) dying starter kit

I'd love to learn to crochet those little amigurumi, but I've never had any luck learning to crochet.  So any kind of super super easy stuffie pattern and 'crocheting for complete idiots' kit would be great.

I've heard alot of good things about the cloth menstraul pads, but never tried them, I wouldn't mind a getting started set of those. Thanks Tanza!

Thanks to some fun swaps, I've just started making paper and soap, so I wouldn't mind any new toys to play with those new hobbies.  Little bits of colored papers of any kind to mix in my paper.  Molds for soap.  Additives or colors for either.  Your favorite recipes for making them.

My dogs always appreciate puppy toys, the "big" one weighs about 25 lbs and loves balls.  The little one is only about 9 lbs and only likes things she can eat.  They got pretty spoiled last round, but if you happen to have anything little for them, or if you make homemade treats and want to throw a few in, we won't say no.

Oh, and I have a husband.  Yesh. He doesn't deserve any presents.  But..... He likes Nascar, especially Kasey Kahne & Bill Elliot.  He also loves comics, especially the Flash.

I don't have alot on my wists yet, but anything from there is also great

I claim raynbow for a baggie of buttons. This is my second claim, with one sent and zero received.

Hi there. I'm a thirtysomething writer/editor who lives in Los Angeles with my husband and two cats, but my heart truly resides in Texas. My favorite holidays are Valentine's Day, Day of the Dead and the two weeks before Christmas when everyone has the holiday spirit. I drive a cake batter yellow VW bug, but my second vehicle is a pink scooter. My interests include TV, food and chick lit (not always in that order). My favorite era is that gray one between Mod and Glam (think Andy Warhol/The Factory/Velvet Undergound), followed by the 1920s. If I have one regret it's that I don't have the bone structure to wear my hair super short like Mia Farrow's in "Rosemary's Baby." I'm currently into chocolate brown and those colors that go with it -- turquoise, pink -- but I also have a weakness for poppy Gerber daisy colors like pink and orange with a bit of burgundy thrown in. I try to stop eating three hours before bed. I don't always succeed. I prefer silver to gold, gloss to matte, cashmere to silk, heels to flats, red wine to white (champagne to both), pears to apples.

Things my little heart desires (Please excuse how long my list is. I like to have a little something of everything so I won't hold up the proceedings):

Definitely check out my wists, it's going strong: http://www.wists.com/GatsbyGirl

I really want to learn crochet. Anyone want to put together a "how-to" kit to help me out?

Nancy Drew book clutch purse

Long-sleeved, 3/4-sleeves t-shirt or cami tank with applique and/or embroidery (size Medium)

Funky, crafty wrap skirt (I'm a 6, but I guess with a wrap skirt it doesn't matter)

Fused glass: pendant, plate, bowl, tray, whatever (I love me some fused glass)

A small mosaic bowl

You know those crochet hooks with polymer clay covered handles? Yeah, I'd like some hair sticks like that.

A knit corset tee -- http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/na_knitting/article/0,2025,DIY_14141_4920958,00.html (I don't knit, so I have no idea how complicated this is, so if you're laughing now and going "In her dreams" I completely understand)

Vintage (40s to the 70s, with an emphasis on the 50s and 60s) Craft kits. For some reason, I love those self-contained, "Here's the instructions. Here's the supplies. Go crazy." deals, especially older ones. Extra especially if sequins are involved.

Handmade soap (bars please; it's for the shower), scrubs, bath bombs. All scents are good, except for lavender or eucalyptus. I'm fond of gardenia, rose and vanilla.

Geegaws and Supplies:
   Neckties, Neckties, Neckties
   Wire cookie cutters
   Paper Dolls
   Girl/Romance/Fashion Comics
Fabric -- big pieces, small pieces, fat quarters, fat eighths, scraps -- Mod prints, anything in pinks and browns (seperately, or together), flocked (or just looks like flocked wallpaper), patterned oil cloth, fun toile (as opposed to little old lady toile), sock monkey, Michael Miller, Alexander Henry ... oh, who am I kidding? ... anything you don't want/need.
   Colored Aida for cross-stitch -- 14, 16 or 18 count
Contact paper/shelf liner with cool patterns
   Funky wallpaper scraps
Tile beads (you know the ones: look like dominoes, but have a hole drilled through it, ready to be made into a pendant/charm)
   Rayon embroidery floss
   Super cool buttons
   Iron-on appliques/patches
Trim -- Rick Rack, Pom Poms, Bias tape, Zippers, Ribbons, bring it on
Art books (anything with good decoupageable images)
   Japanese felt mascots/minatures/food craft books/magazines

Oh, and I know no one will make me this, but while rewatching "Goblet of Fire" I went, "I want one of those," about the hats the girls of Beauxbatons Academy wear. I assume you could do it out of felt, but have no idea where to begin: http://www.comingsoon.net/cgi-bin/imageFolio.cgi?action=view&link=Fantasy/Harry_Potter/Harry_Potter_and_the_Goblet_of_Fire&image=gobletoffire78.jpg&img=9&tt=

Thanks y'all!

I claim GatsbyGirl for a shirt inspired by her wist. This is my first claim, with zero sent and zero received.

Aside from some allergies to nuts, I have few aversions. Please send me nothing that smells like cigarettes and, as far as you can help it, please keep it Fair Trade-friendly.

I'm at the end of my high school career and I'm in beautiful Northwest Washington. I do a lot of tutoring, am TOTALLY into fashion (I have a show coming up this week), and I spend much of my time crafting.

My wist (www.wists.com/melonbread) is tiny right now, but go ahead and look at that.

Also consider these:

-Knit, fingerless gloves (a women's medium size) in a neutral color
-Tame nailpolish..like clear with some sparkles
-Plastic headbands
-Old photographs you have lying around
-Homemade – or not - chapstick in exciting flavors/shines
-A heather grey tshirt (medium if it's preshrunk is good) with a dark blue or deep red design you stencil on (no words, please)
-Typewriter keys
-Chuck Taylors (men’s size 7) as beat up as they have to be
-Catholicky, religious-related paraphernalia for my shrine (think figurines, not pamphlets)
-Very soft leaded pencils
-Anything relating to design and printing (a bracelet with CMYK or RGB beads, maybe?)
-Finally, I would like a cassette tape with an exciting design – colors, a really cool band or logo, etc… I’m making a belt.

Pattern for making parachute pants (like MC Hammer's)
Alphabet, #s and symbols iron-ons that won't peel
Paint pens
A whimsical, multi-charmed necklace (closer to Hello kitty than Precious Moments)
Duct tape in multi-colors

NEW Friendly Plastic
NEW A good quality seam-ripper
NEW Thread in some rare colors (neons, brights)
NEW Cool buttons you make with your button maker
