This month's challenge is knitting el cheapo, and as a student... thats how I knit ALL the time  Smiley  I knit this sweater in about a week, and it cost approx. $6 or $7 CAD. I bought the yarn, one skein each of each colour. I don't have my receipt, but you can see the cost here, http://www.joann.com/catalog.jhtml?CATID=82240&PRODID=47172&source=search

Onto the pictures:
Here you can see it with the leftover yarn, which is a good bit considering I knit a long sleeve sweater

My boyfriend took this being funny, but it actually shows some of the side shaping, plus I was just most impressed that it actually fit the girls.

This one shows how wonderfully long the sleeves are....

I had fun knitting this, my first real garment, I learned alot (thanks goes out to all the girls in the KAL who were oh, so helpful) and throughly enjoyed making something so pretty for so cheap  Grin

You did a great job.  The sweater looks fantastic on you.  I like those colours together.  I would never have thought that combo would look so sweet.

Thanks guys! Dulcinea, the pattern can be found in the KAL beginner raglan sweater. I just added extra stitches for the neck to make it kinda boat neck like, and decreased for the waist. Its a great pattern for beginners.
