ViolinRomance, I had so much fun making everything for you Cheesy
I didn't manage to take any pictures of anything, because I had left my camera at my friend's house on Sunday night Sad
So I nearly forgot what I sent :O

OOH there was Felix Felicis in a little baby sock hahaha I had fun doing that Cheesy

My favorite things to do were the bottle and the Felix Felicis and the Monster book of monsters andd the thermos Cheesy

If it hadn't been for this swap, I would never have tried my hand at engraving or Mod Podging or dying bags or even making that style of bag or knitting gloves or making pillows. So it was a learning experience for me as well!

Oh and I would never have bought a mailing box. And mailed one. That was wonderfully fun. ALSO I would not have used my Harry Potter letter paper. Heh. Grin

And thanks everyone for your lovely compliments!

What a haul I got from the incomparable Kristen81! Kristen, you are hilarious and a genius.

WARNING: lots of pictures. May take time to load.

Behold the lot!

Clockwise from top left: a letter of acceptance to the Death Eaters, from Lord Voldemort himself; the Half-Blood Prince's copy of Advanced Potion-Making (for proof of authenticity see below); a crocheted Harry Potter doll, complete with scar, wand, glasses and enormous untameable hair; jelly beans (mmmm!); a fantastic quilted knitting tote with pockets inside and embroidery; a wand (14" birch, unicorn-hair core)!

The glorious bag (sorry about the unglorious photography):

Detail of zipper pocket, which requires much talent to install (or magic!):

Detail of embroidery on front:

Hmmmm... I think I neglected to take a picture of the Potions book... Kristen81, if you have pictures of it, can you post them? I'm out of town at the moment. However, I know it belonged to the Half-Blood Prince because his notes are liberally sprinkled through the pages, like this:

Don't know if you can see this, but it's the first page of a thick guidebook called So You Want To Be a Death Eater written by the Dark Lord himself on parchment yellowed with age/tea.

This probably isn't legible in the photo, but the last paragraph instructs me to eat the guide as soon as I've finished memorizing it. Wouldn't want juicy information like this to fall into the wrong hands!

My favourite part of the Death Eater guide is the anthem, set to the tune of the Blackadder theme:

And check out my sweet wand!
Aha, I've got you cornered now, Harry Potter!

"Expelliarmus!"

What the--hey! He disarmed me! Oh, he is good.

THANK YOU KRISTEN81!

Goldfishgirl recieved her package and she has trouble upload pictures while at school. So here is the package I sent her.

The whole lot-minus a couple things

photo album I found in a cool store, felt owl patch, bookmark, and broom necklace, kleenex for book 7 reading, and a t-shirt material Gryffindor scarf, oh and a deck of cards that can be used for fortune telling

I did not take a wide shot of the shorts, but here is the detail in the corner of the shorts

back of shorts

Picture frame with Deathly Hallows written on it and the date, and book plates (7 of them of course) and Wizard money, Galleons, Knuts, and Sickles (these are from a tuturial I found)

a jacket that I decorated for Quidditch warm-ups

Back of jacket.

So glad you liked everything. Smiley

Goldfishgirl loves the Weasleys, so Ginny is on the Quidditch team, so I did Weasley.

The bookplates are all the same.
