I've noticed that no one has started an Isabella Knitalong yet, so I thought that I'd start one.

This batch of Knit Picks Palette in Apricot came in the mail today.  Once I get my Yorick finished (so close!), I'm going to start swatching!

Anyone else in?

I'm making it in black cotton (I had it in my stash). I only have a few rows of the back done. I had to go down two needle sizes to get gauge... I think it's going to take me quite a while to finish it Tongue

OK, 3mm needles and 4ply yarn is killing me but i've managed to do about 10cm... its pretty simple and looks good so far....

I'm glad to hear from you, dair!  I just swatched a couple of days ago and knitted ALL WEEKEND (OK - in between homework assignments, but still!)  I've got about 4 inches now (around 10 cm, I think) after 45 rows!

a pic for appreciation:

I'm really liking it though - especially the picot hem!  It's going to be nice when it finally knits up NEXT summer  Grin

I cast on, got a few 10 rows worked, and realised that I was insaine to knit this in wool yarn in Texas, so Isabella has been frogged until I can obtain the money to buy cotton.  Sad

Hmm... I'm knitting it in wool as well - Knit Picks Palette to be exact.  I'm in Tennessee/Georgia, so a little less hot than Texas.  I guess I forgot to think about the heat factor... Undecided

Oh well - I think that it's still thin enough for summer.  And besides, offices are notoriously cold, right?  Cheesy

Cynder, have you checked out this website?  They have a cotton fine yarn that is a 80% cotton, 20% wool for fairly cheap.

Those are good prices, thanks.  I've already spent my yarn budget for the month buying for Venezia, but I'll check back at that link next month.
