I had a lot of yarn left over from a scarf I made, so I decided to see whether I had the patience for an afghan... and I did! Funny thing about using up my stash, I decided it wasn't rainbowy enough, so I went out and bought some rainbow variegated yarn.

Here it is at about the point I decided I needed more rainbowyness:


And here's the finished product!


I'm really happy with how it came out, now I just gotta figure out what to do with it. Maybe I'll save it until one of my friends has a baby. Roll Eyes

I Love it!! Primary colors are my favorite thing...reminds me of that new box of crayolas I got at the beginning of each school year....aaahhh I can almost smell the wax now......................

The variegated yarn makes a really nice edge! Grin

You just made me really want a box of crayons.  How much of a tool am I if I go by some at the school store tomorrow so I can color when I fimish this paper I should be writing right now?

Bold, bright colors in a baby blankie FTW!  I love the extra variegated bit.  This reminds me so much of Home Ec. in junior high--half the class chose to crochet huge pastel blankets out of Red Heart.  Ginormous, neverending granny squares that they ended up having to tote around in huge bags for days.
