Here's my latest crocheted hat.  My husband says he doesn't like it but all the girl-friends do.  Something about the color.  I crocheted concentric rings (i.e. I turned at the end of each row).  There is a "seam" but I've gotten really good at hiding them, your average non-crocheter can't find it!   I used a woven stitch, which is *half double chain, chain one* repeated for a row, then * hdc in each chain, chain one* for the next row.  When I got to the last three rows, I continued the pattern but in the back loop only so there is a "ribbing".

Here's the hat on:

Here's the hat off so you can see the stiches a little better:

What do you think?

Wow, I love that!  What kind of yarn did you use?

Well, if your husband doesn't like it, I guess he won't get to wear it.

I like it, too.

You kind of look like the hot girl from that 70's show - who used to have red hair.  I know that's random, just sayin' it.

What kind of yarn did you use?

Ooh!  I bet five bucks it's Lion Brand Landscapes... *drools* I looooove that yarn...  It's my total favorite!

I got all excited when I saw this hat and what it was made of.  Nice job!

I love the hat, the colors are great and  I will definately have to try that stitch!

I think you look like Donna from That Seventies Show also; it was actually the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the picture  Lips sealed

Yes, it is Lion Brand landscapes...had to have it as soon as I saw it!  I love brown and turquoise together!

Thanks for the 70's show comments (I take them as compliments).  I love how the shade of Donna's hair changes all the time...I should try some different shades of red!
