Okay, before Katxena posts a picture, I have to tell you about her ATC.

I looked at the card, and first glance, I saw the stamp, but no map. So I looked closer, there was the map, blended and part of the whole.

Okay I'm staring at the card, Arabic writing is the background, and it looks stamped on, then dyed red violet?

Then a layer of embossed something. Chinese? Flower? Butterfly? It is only a partial layer, and it looks stamped on a music paper background? Black embossing on a red layer.

Then the map, of Chunking, China, partially cut, partially ripped. And it and the layer below are both dyed red, so the map really blends in.

Finally, a republique francaise red violet stamp. then it is framed with a red line as a border for all the card.

Now never in all my life would I have put these items together, or can I even see a correlation, it is a totally "illogical" grouping. BUT

This is probably the most beautiful whole, and it is simple and beautiful. My logical mind cannot fathom how this juxtapositioning can possibly go together, but my artistic side is singing in happiness. I am simply amazed at the whole, the beauty of it.

then on the back, Katxena pasted a blue card with butterflies, and it says the card is called "Dreamscape."

Oh, thank you! This is inspiring and interesting. I keep staring at it, so amazing!

I will modify this post and put up a picture or a link on Friday, but in the meantime I want you all to know about the amazingness!

That card does sound great.  I am the lucky owner of one of Katxena's layered cards and they are indeed fascinating.

Well, today is the deadline for mailing.  If you haven't PM'd me that you have mailed and you have or you are going to be late, please let me know.

Oh my gosh sewknitter, you have my blushing from all the praise -- and now I'm afraid to post the picture in case it doesn't live up to your description!  Wink  But I'll post it over in the gallery in just a minute.

Thank you very much -- I'm so glad you liked that card.  It was pretty unusual for me colorwise -- I was trying to stretch a bit!

Edited to add:  here's the picture https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=162021.msg1658054#msg1658054
