Okay maybe he's not mine but he's my best friend in the world so he's close enough that I consider him mine. The Drummer Boy part is true. Drumming is his passion along with lacross, improv, comedy, the simpsons, family guy, southpark and other stupid/funny tv shows. He's sixteen but doesn't have his learners permit so nothing driving related.

I'm able to do most basic crafts. I can sew, stencil, scrapbook, felt and I love modge podge  Cheesy I'm unable to knit and crochet and although I would love to learn how to I don't have much free time over the next month and a half so this isn't the greatest time to do so.

Oh, and I would like to keep this reasonably cheap seeing a have a whole $30 to last me till God knows when.

Love Always, AnnaMarie  Kiss

Does he wear earplugs when he practices or has a gig?
I made my boyfriend a little earplug case this past Christmas because he is ALWAYS losing them/forgetting them/leaving them around to get eaten by our cats.
I just took an old Altoids tin and covered both sides with a picture of him drumming, then added drumming-related words.

I've also seen some other drumming-related gifts on the board here-- clocks made out of cymbals, decoupaged drumheads.. etc.

Wow, that tin is an amazing an idea. However, sadly, it wouldn't work because the only band he's actually part of is our school's concert/jazz band so the practicing for gigs doesn't apply to him.

I will have a look around for other drum related crafts though. Thanks.

A member on here had painted some cymbals. Maybe you could get your hands on an old cracked cymbal of his (or find someone else's, freecycle or craigslist might help you find old cymbals) and you could paint/stencil one of his favorite cartoon characters or a favorite song quote for some drummer wall art. Since you'd be using a cracked cymbal, you might be able to get 'em free or super duper cheap.

Or you could sew him a drumstick case/roll. You could model it after a knitting needle or crochet hook case/roll.
