I'm obsessed with skating right now, and I had some ugly plain shirts that my mom gave me for Christmas (soft and comfy, but so ugly!).  So, I used Heat & Bond to stick these fabric skates onto the shirts and hand-stitched the edges.

This one I did boring stitches, but cut the collar out so I can wear it with a black racerback tank (or bra) underneath.  I really liked the plaid but nobody else seems to!

This fabric was actually from some Victoria's Secret pajamas!  The fabric was so swirly that I decided to do lazy-daisy stitches all around it.  It took longer than I'd like, but I'm happy with the look.

Skating rocks!  As a matter of fact, the speed skates I got from eBay just arrived yesterday; I'm ready!  Unfortunately, being 44 years old, I can't go as often as I'd like. Plus, DH gives me one of these  Roll Eyes when I say I want to go skating.

Your shirts are really cute!

It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye; then hey, free eyeball!

I'm 35 and just started back at it too!  I got some Carrera speed skates off Low Price Skates.com, I love them so far.  It's freezing here but there are a few rinks where I can go and practice.  Supposedly it will get nicer next week so I ordered a Quadline kit for outdoors and some inlines for my hubby!

He's really more into ice hockey, but figures going with me will give him more practice time overall than waiting for the drop-in hockey times at the ice arena.

Skating does ROCK!  Grin

Those shirts are cute, and I really like that plaid!!!  (Everyone else must be crazy, haha.)
