i'm a long time knitter, but i was totally inspired by the clothing board and decided i wanted a sewing machine yesterday.  today, i went into the thrift store run by my agency (i'm a social worker and it's part of our vocational program) and lo and behold there was a fairly new sewing machine on sale for $50!  we took it in the back and it does indeed work.  it came with a bunch of feet, bobbins, and other various and assundry tools, but alas, no manual!

before you tell me to do an internet search on the make and model, i already did that and it appears that my sewing machine does not exist!  it is a mechanical euro pro, and the sticker on the back claims that it is model 3100, but none of my extensive searches produced anything even resembling the machine.  it also says euro-delux on it.  it has 19 stitches and button holer capacity.  8 utility stitches, 4 decorative, and 7 stretch.  i checked the euro pro website, and they have no manuals for a 3100.

i'm very confused...  any advice? Huh

Any chance you could post a photo of it?

ok, this is just weird!  i emailed customer service and this is the response:

"Thank you for your recent e-mail. Please verify your model number we have 5100
or 7100 but not 3100."

 Huh

the numbers 8, 5, 3 all look similar in many situtations.

i will post a pic of the label.  it clearly says 3100.  i've checked several times.  maybe it's a fake?  are there even "fake" sewing machines?  i would think maybe with more renowned brands, but not euro pro...  so confused!

i'm not crazy, right?  that sticker says it's a model 3100, right?  it makes no sense!

Goodness, that is weird.  I had a quick google and can't come up with anything either.  Maybe you could email the photos of the machine to Euro Pro and see if they can shed any light on it.
