Does that involve knitting?  Cos I can't knit Sad

No it doesn't involve knitting. Mostly it will be exhibitions and demonstrations. The theme this year is spinning so there will be an emphasis on handspun materials.
Some of them can be quite arty and only relate to the scarf idea in a really loose way.

Thanks for the good wishes everybody. You never know how much you use something till you can't...

I'm very into Britney Spears' early work, before she sold out, so mostly her, um, finger painting and macaroni art.

I'm all done for this semester on the 8th and then have something like 7 weeks off until classes start again

I think the Melbourne Scarf Festival falls in that time frame.

Maybe we could meet up for that?
Hiiii, I just wanted to apologise for being such a piker .
I really needed to take it easy. So I did.

I kind of wish I had taken it easy too. Instead I went with a sore neck the day after staying up late at a wedding and now my doctor has me getting blood tests and x-rays! Sad

So maybe its a good thing you didn't push yourself! Smiley
(I'm too sore to even knit!  Cry Oh the tragedy! )

oooh no, I hope you're better soon.

Sorry I haven't posted here for a little while - computer issues.

Anyway, I hope your neck is going better geek-pride, and I'm looking forward to coming to another meetup at some point!

Here's a photo of the bookmark I was embroidering. I've finally sewn it together and photographed it (at some point in the future I will make a light box and have lovely photos, rather than the ones I've got at the moment, which aren't shocking, but could be improved)

Thanks for posting that, it's wonderful.

I finally figured out what was wrong with the knitting I was doing on the day - I hadn't pulled both yarns to the front for the purls or to the back for the knits for my double knitting project.  So I frogged it and have been working the correct technique since!  Here's a couple of progress shots:

Inside

It's reversible (just like it's supposed to be!)!  I'm actually a little further along than when these were taken.  Hoping to be done by June 15th (hmmmm . . . )
