So this is the 2nd bag I have made using logsio's fabulous tutorial (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=42927.0) and I am totally in love with this one.  Good thing I made it for myself, haha.

The fabric is by Alexander Henry (whom I am in love with at the moment, so many great prints, I want to buy them all!) and I just knew it had to be travel bag when I saw it.  I added piping to mine, and also an outside pocket (for my book).  The rings were originally white, but I colored them with a sharpie to match.  I also plan on making a long strap to attach later, but I was too excited to post this because I love how it turned out.  It was also my first time using heavy interfacing, the bag is actually empty in the pictues, it stands all by itself (the last one I used a med./lightweight interfacing and it was very floppy).
I can't wait until my trip at the end of the month so I can use it!

I am in the process now of making on for my son (he's 18months, so I got him a really cute animals in space print fabric), I plan on having it done for our trip too!

Ok, here are the pics, sorry there are so many

From the side (the side with the pocket, the otherside is just plain)

A view from the top (you can see the outside pocket here)

The corner (show the loop/zipper/pocket/piping, etc)

And a not so great shot of the lining (no inside pockets)

How much can you fit in this bag?  I have the fabric and everything to make my own but I'm wondering if I'll need to go bigger for what I'll use it for.  Right now I need a bag that will carry two outfits a book and my laptop (I'm making a matching case for it). This is definitely the style bag I want but I might need to make some adjustments to it.
