ok i think you're purse is absolutely beautiful, i have a "small" obsession with pinups myself.....and for the person who finds it necessary to share your small minded negative remarks, lets see you make one as pretty as Miss Tee2 did, ya know since you say anyone can make one- bet you don't even have the balls/ovaries to reply back

sorry everyone... not trying to start a fight or anything, i just don't undertsand why someone would  come to such a wonderful place (i heart craftster) where we are all just trying to learn new things and share our creativity with each other and say something so nasty

This is such an awesome idea! I took it and ran with it.

I bought a medium wooden round box from Hobby Lobby (on sale for $4). Then covered it in two layers of red tissue paper (did you read my post saying I had a lot of it?). I bought two Photo magazines online for about $5. Then last night I cut the pinups out of them and placed them on the box.

If I get my camera out of the shop I'll upload some pictures for you.

I would like to see that when you get your pic.....Im not mad that someone made such a negative comment. I am used to someone always saying something negative about something ive made. It isnt the first, or the last time. But, you just have to  Grin and bear it. But, If you cant say something nice, dont say anything at all. THANKS!

I've seen tins like that at Michael's.  I never thought of decoupaging them!  How inventive! Grrreat!

so cute!  you did a splendid job.  I really liked the circle one.  but then, I'm more of a circle girl.  if I had the guts to walk around with a pin-up girl purse, I'd have to make one!  maybe a nice storage box will be in order...

oh, and one of the reasons I love this site is that you can see what other people are making, say "oh, what a great idea!" and then go and make your own version.  that's why I love you guys.    Cheesy

first off - let me say that i think those purses ROCK! i especially like the circle one, and i think putting the girl's name up the leg was a brilliant idea. i imagine she was very happy with it.

also - i was wondering what - if anything - you did to the inside of the bag? i wondered if you put any sort of liner or padding on the inside.

now - i'm sorry - but i have to rant a minute about that negative post.

i would hate to suggest in today's world that we expect people to censor their opinions. i truly believe that people should be able to speak their mind. however, i also feel that there are appropriate and inappropriate forums for doing that - and given that craftster is a place where people come to share ideas and inspiration, and where people come to LEARN, it seems that if your opinion about something is that it could be better, it would be much more helpful to the person concerned if instead of making a vague subjective comment you instead offered some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism - as in: i like your idea but i thought it would have been more effective had you blah blah blah. if you really wanted to be helpful you would follow this advice with an example of what you are speaking about.

frankly, as a society in general, we do not do enough free sharing of our experience and knowledge, and we do not show enough appreciation of those who do (in my experience craftster is a rare exception to the state of the world) and i am grateful there are people like MissTee_2 who are generous (and brave) enough to share.

it is a sad reality that there are some people in this world who can't feel elevated about themselves unless they are shooting someone else down. i especially thankful that the good people here understand there is plenty of room at the "top" and don't let someone else's negativity stop them from living above it all.

There is'nt a lining in it, but the bag is small, because it is one of those tins that you get at Micheals. I dont think that it really needs one, because I dont carry it on a daily basis. But, it is a good idea nonetheless.

Love the purse, love the pinups!  I adore pulp and pinups, so I love this idea.

And I'm sorry, but I gotta comment to the negative poster, too.  I love this forum.  There are so many inspiring ideas here.  There's also a decided lack of flaming - which is such a good thing!

When we post a creation, we are sharing ideas.  If you have variations, post 'em!  But if all you can say is "anyone could do that"; well, what sense does that make?  Anything that can be done by one person can be done by others too, and the point isn't to out-do each other with difficult tasks.  Some of the most awesome craft ideas aren't that difficult to accomplish, but they are unique ideas that look great.   At the very least, they are cool ideas for stuff that I might make on a weekend, or use as inspiration for a different thing I'm making.  I honestly don't think anyone here expects a critique; it's much more about suggestions, ideas.

Anyway, end of my rant.   Smiley  Thanks for the cool idea MissTee, as well as the info on where you got the images.
